[Weather Today Korea] Warm thoughts will be the only thing keeping us toasty, a severe cold snap is hitting over the country.
Yesterday, temperatures (in February) had its coldest in 55 years. This morning, we already broke the record with a low not reaching above zero!
Morning lows were -0.4 in Seoul, -7.6 in Chuncheon. Cold wave warning and cold wave watch has been issued in most central area and some south regions.
Windchills will be under -9 degrees with strong cold wind blowing. Warm clothing is indispensable in cold weather like this. Keep all exposed skin if you do head outside.
We'll continue this freezing weather in daytime too. Afternoon highs will be 17.6 in Seoul and Chuncheon.
